Mark I. Roth, CRE, is a seasoned professional with over 30-years
experience in preparing consulting reports, market studies, and appraisals on
most property types for a variety of purposes including portfolio valuation,
mortgage lending, property tax disputes, securities fraud, bankruptcies, and
property acquisition or disposition. Additionally, he has extensive experience
in providing litigation support in connection with bankruptcies, property tax
disputes, and securities fraud. He has vast experience, nationwide, with regional
malls, CBD office buildings, and mixed-use properties and has qualified as an
expert witness in state and federal courts. In addition, he has experience with
real property acquisition, asset management, and due diligence. He was formerly
associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he assisted in the development
of the Real Estate Litigation Support practice, and with Peter F. Korpacz &
Associates, Inc., where he participated in the design and development of the
Korpacz Real Estate Investor Survey. He is nationally recognized for
the use of computers and discounted cash flow analysis in real estate analysis
and has lectured at professional and educational meetings. He was the founding
editor of The Quarterly Byte, an Appraisal Institute computer publication and
a Contributing Editor to the Korpacz Real Estate Investor Survey. He
received the Charles B. Shattuck Memorial Award from the American Institute
of Real Estate Appraisers (now the Appraisal Institute) for outstanding contributions
to appraisal education in 1984. In addition, he spent five years managing real
property assets of all types for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company (currently JP
Morgan Chase).
